I wanted to drop a quick photo of the loot hauled in by everyone. It was a great, windy, cold day for riding across Mason City helping the hungry.
A full recap, and more photo coverage is on its way. Thanks to all that helped.
Less than 3 hours till Registration opens. It’s a little misty outside. As always, Game On. The nice thing is, we have a great location to meet up at. There will always be those who are salty enough to participate on bikes. The rest who don’t wish to partake in suspect weather are invited to hang at Lorado’s while the brave souls ride.
There is Chili, Coffee Cat Cider and Coffee available, as well as a full bar. I am sure NFL will be on the TV, and conversation will be good. If you choose not to ride, but still come to the event. Please pick up some food items to donate, or make a cash donation to the cause. Doing so will enter you into drawing for great door prizes from our Sponsors. HED Cycling, Splash Multisport, Carlos O’Kellys, Mason City Brewing, Waynes, Bennetts, and Lakeside.
It’s a good cause, you get to do with great people. See you all at Lorado’s.
Just 48 hours to go till Cranksgiving 2012. And alas, Eddie won’t be making it this year.
There is a chance of rain, but don’t worry. There is a wonderfully dry (moisture wise) bar awaiting us.
Please come down, rain or shine. Brave souls will ride we or dry. We are going to have fun!
We are excited to announce that we have some new sponsors this year. Lorado’s, Splash Multisport, HED Cycling, Waynes, Bennetts, and Lakeside have been with us since the beginning. This year we are proud to announce that Coffee Cat and Mason City Brewing will be joining our team.
Catherine from Coffee Cat is donating hot cider and coffee for the folks milling about at Lorado’s. Coffee Cat is located on South Delaware – just across the street from Younkers. Her amazing coffee, baked goods, and espresso has been the mainstay of her business. It is a very comfortable shop to visit and kick back with your drink of choice. On a personal note. Try my favorite “after ride” breakfast. Coffee cake and a tall glass of homemade lemonade.
Mason City Brewing is a long anticipated new biz in Mason City. Their new brewery will be opening soon on East State Street, just across from the down town First Citizens Bank. A dream that started in a basement, has bloomed into a future hot stop for all the brew fans in North Iowa. Their opening can’t come soon enough!
Any business owner looking to help out for future rides and activities, please contact Eric for more information.
This year’s addition of Cranksgiving will be held on Sunday, Nov 11. We will start and finish at Lorado’s on the Plaza. Registration will start at noon, and the ride will begin at 1pm.
